Culinary Challenge – Hyatt
The challenge took place at various Hyatt hotel properties across the country.
I got an opportunity to witness amazing cooking battle amongst India’s corporate veterans in Pune. It was exciting to see the knives and spoons in the hands of techies whose fingers run on tablets & laptops. At the same time, it was motivating to see the passion and enthusiasm of the participants, who left the comforts of their cabin and wore aprons to present their amazing dishes.
This event not only showcased the culinary skills of the corporate individuals but also the team building skills in each team. The interaction and communication between child and participant proved that battle is best won by working together as a team.
The event began with the Special Violin performance by kids from Pune Music. Interesting games were played meanwhile for the people who visited.
Many different dishes were showcased – Slow Roasted Tomato & Watercress Salad with Vegan Paella, Jamaican Jerk Grill Cottage Cheese Steak, Zingalala Crepe, Prawns recipe, Bharwaan tamatar to name a few.
The winner recipe Bharwaan tamatar, prepared by Mr. Tarun Sharma – CEO, BMC Software, was awarded stay at Hyatt Hotel in Goa.
The panel of judges comprised of various experts from the culinary sphere.
The runner-up recipe – Prawns, prepared by Ms. Priya Wagholikar from HDFC, was also awarded stay at one of the Hyatt Hotels in India.
Winners have been invited to participate in the Grand Finale at Hyderabad which is scheduled in December 2018. The winner in Hyderabad will win a family holiday at New York, Hyatt.
I really enjoyed my time and will be looking forward every year for this competition.
